The technology being used is video sources like YouTube, video cameras, and blogs. One advantage is that is spread fast once it was released. A disadvantage is that low level officers sometimes get promotions for these acts so posting these videos just gives them an easier way to get recognized. The public is slowly becoming the winners. More access to these types of technology gives the people more power. In January of 2005, there were only about 30 blogs in existence in all of Egypt. That number is clearly growing with technology becoming more and more available. One ethical issue is that YouTube has taken down some videos due to their graphic content. Some people may argue that is it necessary for people to see what really happens so that action can be taken.
